No technical skills required: clear interfaces, guided instructions, and immediate feedback make every monitoring session simple and reassuring.
Simplicity, Security, Transparency
This is not a commercial product, but a personal platform that puts your health at the center. With EKGH10, you have total control over your medical data.
Local data, no external cloud. All information remains on your device, ensuring privacy and security.
Initial Setup
Preparation and Permissions
Before starting, EKGH10 requires some essential permissions to function correctly. Upon first launch, the app will automatically request access to Bluetooth and location (necessary for device detection on recent Android versions).
01
Bluetooth and Location Permissions
Grant the required permissions during app startup
02
Activate Bluetooth
Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your device
03
Connect the Polar H10
Wear the strap and ensure it is active and visible. ALWAYS MOISTEN THE CONTACTS BEFORE WEARING IT!
04
First Connection
The app will automatically discover and connect the device

Tip: the first connection does not happen automatically, manually tap the "SEARCH" button on the main screen to start device scanning.
Polar H10 Connection and Synchronization
Main Screen
The EKGH10 main screen features an intuitive interface with a central button that guides the entire connection process. The button dynamically changes its state: "SEARCH" at startup, "CANCEL" during scanning, and "VIEW ECG" when connected. Pressing "VIEW ECG" actually activates the app with the real-time graph.
Below the main button, you'll find a dedicated manual disconnection button for total session control, which MUST be pressed at the end to correctly close the app.
1
Search Device
Tap the SEARCH button to start scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices
2
Automatic Connection
When the Polar H10 is detected, the app connects immediately to the device
3
ECG View Available
The button changes to VIEW ECG, allowing you to access the real-time visualization
The app displays the connection status, device ID, and signal quality in real-time. Once connected, you can also access the ECG view via the side menu for quick navigation.
Real-time ECG View
The ECG view represents the beating heart of EKGH10, offering a dynamic visualization of your cardiac tracing. As soon as you access this screen, the app automatically starts the background monitoring service and continuous streaming of sensory data.
Live Trace
Real-time visualization of the ECG signal with continuous updates
Battery Status
Monitoring of the remaining level of the Polar H10 strap
HR and RR
Beats per minute and RR intervals measured in real time
Average Latency
Communication time between device and app for signal stability
Learning Phase
During the first few minutes, the app goes through a "learning" or baseline stabilization phase. In this phase, some commands are hidden while the app sets optimal parameters for your profile.
Information Panels
By tapping the right side of the screen, you can cycle through different information display modes, customizing the interface according to your preferences.
Usage Modes: REC and RUN
EKGH10 offers two main RECORDING modes to adapt to different monitoring scenarios. Each mode optimizes signal analysis according to the context of use, ensuring precision and relevance.
REC Mode
Full recording with detailed analysis and complete data saving. Ideal for structured medical sessions and subsequent analysis.
  • Complete HR/RR saving
  • Anomalous beat capture
  • Full data export
RUN Mode
Optimized analysis for intense activities with aerobic filters and dynamic artifact detection. Perfect during workouts or physical activities.
  • REST/AEROBIC_INTENSE profiles
  • Adaptive contextual filters
  • Accelerometer integration
Anomaly Detection and Notifications
Intelligent Alert System
EKGH10 does not merely display the ECG trace, but actively analyzes the signal to identify anomalous patterns. The system automatically classifies cardiac events with varying levels of severity.
Detection includes: VPB (premature ventricular contractions), SVPB (supraventricular premature contractions), APB (atrial premature contractions), pauses or missed beats, bradycardia and tachycardia, atrial fibrillation (AFib), wide QRS tachycardia.
Severity and Confidence
Each anomaly is classified by severity (LOW/MEDIUM/HIGH/CRITICAL), percentage confidence, and measured HR and RR.
Signal Quality Management
The app distinguishes between genuine anomalies and motion artifacts, reducing false alarms through integrated accelerometric analysis and signal quality monitoring.
Reasoned Notifications
Notifications are grouped by type, include automatic cooldown and anti-spam, limiting the maximum number of active alerts to prevent fatigue.
Connection Events
Dedicated notifications for disconnection/reconnection (warning/success/error) are available for continuous background monitoring.
History, Database, and Data Export
Complete Local Archive
The app, ONCE ONE OF THE TWO RECORDING MODES IS ACTIVATED (REC or RUN), automatically saves sessions, beats (HR/RR), anomalies, and "capture" of beats around events (before/anomalous/after), allowing you to review episodes later without loss of detailed data.
Data remains entirely on your device, ensuring privacy and total control.
Export Format
Anomalies can be exported in a structured text format (header + rows) with timestamp, anomaly type, identification code, HR, RR, percentage confidence, severity, and "urgent" flag.
The exported format can be imported into spreadsheets or medical analysis systems.
Session Saving
Each session is archived with complete monitoring and analysis data
Anomaly Capture
Automatic saving of beats around the event for detailed analysis
Structured Export
Export in text format with all necessary analytical details
Settings and Integrations
Custom Parameters
From the settings, you can adjust RR sensitivity and bradycardia/tachycardia thresholds, adapting detection to your specific physiological profile.
Garmin Connect IQ Integration
Optional summary sending to the Garmin watch-app (monitoring time and anomaly counts) during REC/RUN recordings, maximum 1 message every 10 seconds. App: "EKG / ECG Garmin" available on IQStore.
Feedback and ML Learning
The machine learning engine works at the single beat level with K-NN logic, using user feedback (correct/incorrect, correct type) to improve predictive accuracy. User feedback is present within the saved anomaly.
Common Troubleshooting
Even the best applications can encounter occasional difficulties. EKGH10 includes automatic reconnection and error management systems, but here are solutions to the most frequent problems.
Strap not found
Solution: Check that Bluetooth is active on your phone, ensure the Polar H10 is worn correctly and charged, then tap "SEARCH" on the main screen. If it persists, restart Bluetooth.
⚠️ Frequent disconnections
Solution: The app attempts automatic reconnection with backoff (progressive retries). If you want to stop it completely, use manual "Disconnect" which disables auto-reconnect and stops streams (ECG/HR/ACC).
🔔 Too many notifications
Solution: Notifications already have cooldown and grouping active. If necessary, reduce severity in the settings.
📉 Poor signal quality
Solution: Ensure the strap is positioned correctly, skin is moist, and there is no interference. The app automatically classifies cases of noise/artifact, reducing false alarms.
🚫 Permission denied
Solution: Go to Android Settings > Apps > EKGH10 > Permissions and manually grant all requested permissions (Bluetooth, Location, Notification). The app will not function without full access.
Automatic Reconnection
EKGH10 manages disconnections with incremental retries (backoff), automatically restarting ECG/HR/ACC streaming without manual intervention.
